When you are celebrating this special time of the year, why have one when you can have several? Team Stryder and the Stryder family and friends had some great times with:
Stryder Clients Christmas Party – We could not ask for more beautiful weather for this lunch party held at the fabulous Drummoyne Sailing Club. We had over 40 clients, who arrived in classy festive attire, all gunning for the chance of winning the prize for best dressed!
We also had the opportunity to have chats with our clients and here is some delightful feedback – They indicated how much they enjoyed the social outings over the past year. Some said that these outings are the only opportunity to be out and about. And receiving our Social Program every second month made their day. We are delighted to know that we make a difference.
Staff Christmas party – A special occasion to celebrate requires an amazing place, this is none other than our favorite, The Bayview Hotel in Gladesville. It provided a welcome opportunity to thank our valued volunteers and staff. Everyone had worked hard over the past year and so it was great to sit back, catch our breath and let our hair down!
Our Kris Kringle was a highlight as all staff had to be creative and source their gift from a thrift shop for a nominal fee. The Lifeline Shop Gladesville provided a great source of happy shopping for many. We were also chuffed when a member of our Board, Soraya Raju popped in to join us.
Clients’ Christmas Lights Tours – These tours were so popular in the past that they are back by demand. What a delightful way to hop onto an after-dinner evening tour of the famous Prince Albert Street in Mosman then finished up with Cutler Parade in North Ryde. The tour was held over two nights in Stryder’s newest bus, the Yutong so no one missed out. It was a late-night outing but everyone was in a festive spirit and excited to see the city up in lights.
The seasonal break period for Team Stryder is from midday 23/12/22 to 02/01/23, the Stryder office will be closed from midday on 23rd December and reopens on Tuesday 3rd January. We look forward to 2023 and engaging our clients and community partners, plans are already underway, including the Seniors’ Week activities so that we can be #goingplaces soon after.
