The Henley Community Garden is once again the meeting ground for our business partners, The Happy Hens, Sydney Community Services, North Ryde Community Aid/Presbyterian Aged, together with Stryder Community Transport to join forces to celebrate Seniors Week.
Seniors are invited to the Henley Garden Party held in the spectacular setting of the Henley Community Gardens, Crown Street, Henley. This event has been generously supported by Hunters Hill, the City of Ryde, and Lane Cove Councils.
No truly can this tagline be ‘Growing food, cultivating communities’ amongst the neighboring communities, and with business partners and providers.
Come and enjoy some morning tea and music whilst you meander in the gardens, enjoying the benefits of outdoor health to appreciate the seasonal veggies, native plants, herbs, and flowers grown from organic gardening methods. There are also worm farms, bees, and chooks to enjoy!
It is an inclusive local space that brings the community together hence making Gladesville, Hunters Hill, Ryde, and beyond engaging and enjoyable places to live, especially in our beautiful public open spaces.
This is a great chance for seniors to reconnect with the local community, learn more about the local social and interest groups and meet the support service organisations available in your area.
It’s on from 10am to 1pm on Thursday 23rd February, and the entertainment, food, and transport are all FREE!
