General Bus Hire

Stryder hires its buses to community groups, retirement villages, individuals and businesses and now offers transport solutions to schools, universities, clubs, churches, councils and others. Whether it is a pick-up/drop-off scenario or a full day out, Stryder will work with you to achieve your goal. Should you wish to drive yourself, there is a minimum licence requirement of a light rigid (LR) NSW licence. Below are the three different bus configurations. Three of our buses have a wheelchair hoist. Stryder works with other operators to source additional vehicles if required.

Driver Terms

All drivers are required to hold a minimum of an LR (Light Rigid) licence

A copy of the driver’s license is required.

A copy of the driver’s Service NSW driving record is required.

A 15 min driving induction is required prior to hire.

Stryder reserves the right to refuse nominated driver

A $550 bond is required.

All Stryder Drivers hold a current Senior First Aid Certificate, Police Check, WWCC, NDIS check and have completed the Infection Control Training.

i. The bus is to be returned in the condition provided.
ii. The bus may only be used for the purpose and destination stated in this application form.
iii. The bus is to be returned with a full tank of fuel. If not, fuel will be charged at .50c per km.
iv. There is an excess km charge of .50c per kilometre for each kilometre travelled over 200km in one day.
v. In the case of an accident or breakdown you will contact the Stryder Emergency Contact Person immediately - emergency numbers can be found in the vehicle folders.
vi. In the event of an accident the group using the vehicle will take responsibility for the insurance excess, if using own driver.
vii. In the event of a breakdown or accident the group using the vehicle will be responsible for making alternative arrangements for the transportation of passengers.
viii. In the event of breakdown or accident the group using the vehicle will be responsible for remaining with the vehicle until it is repaired, or, make arrangements for it to be taken to the agreed upon garage.
